RESA Power re-manufactured transformers provide the same performance as a new transformer at a much lower cost.

The RESA Power Transformer Re-manufacturing Service offers a new lease on life for this used RTE2,500 KVA Liquid Pad Mount Transformer, enabling it to be completely rebuilt and returned to good-as-new condition, or even upgraded to a higher specification. A re-manufactured Pad Mount Transformer provides the same performance as a new Pad Mount Transformer at a much lower cost. However, the main advantage is RESA Power's fast turnaround that can have a re-manufactured transformer shipped in approximately one third the normal delivery time of a new unit.

The cost of our re-manufactured transformers will vary from case to case, but typically we would expect to have you back in service at between 60% and 70% of the cost of a new unit. However, it is delivery rather than cost that will be crucial factor for many customers, especially as the current growth in world-wide demand for HV equipment is resulting in ever-increasing delivery lead-times. We can have a re-manufactured power transformer shipped in around 2 to 3 weeks after the order is placed. That's one third of the 12 week delivery schedules now being quoted for new small and medium power transformers.

Remanufacturing Program

• Bill of Materials
• As found testing (TTR, Insulation Resistance, Winding Resistance)
• Internal inspection performed.
• Top cover removed.
• Insulating fluid removed.
• All bushings are removed and cleaned.
• All gaskets are replaced.
• All threaded fittings are removed, cleaned and reinstalled
• Unit is tested to assure proper connections.
• Unit is filled with original processed fluid unless otherwise noted by customer.
• Top cover is reinstalled.
• 5 psi pressure test is performed
• Unit is prepped for paint. Sanded, minor fabrication work and rust removal.
• Unit is painted with a Urethane two part top coat.
